Villa Park Rss

Local Art Festivals

As a hub for the Chicago arts and cultural scene, Villa Park hosts a variety of arts festivals each year. Focusing on local and regional artists and performers, the events showcase a variety of talent in the Chicago area. Our editors reviewed two of the largest events in the area:

Summerfest
The upcoming 2009 Summerfest, to be held in the Ardmore Business District on June 20, showcases a variety of local merchants. Running all day (from 11 a.m. until nine at night), the Fest will feature a special NASCAR tent, a simulated climbing wall and a Moon Jump simulation, in addition to local merchants. Additionally, a special music stage with live entertainment will focus on local musicians, who will play as food is served from local restaurants and families enjoy children’s activities throughout the day.

Autumn Arts and Crafts Festival
Held ever August at the Odeum, the craft fair features over 400 booths with merchants ranging from fine artists to craftsmen and photographers. With open attendance for children, the event is ideal for families. Held in conjunction with a variety of regional Autumn Festivals, the Villa Park craft fest has a rich history dating back over 25 years.
